Miniature Horse Show Registries
Because there are dozens of separate registries
for miniature horses, those participating in miniature horse shows should
partner with a registry whose standards for conformation
and size compliment their miniature horse.
Remember, while many registries "recognize" each other, a registered
pony in one registry may not qualify doe miniature horse shows in
another registry. For example, an 35 inch
American Miniature Horse
Registry (AMHR) miniature horse will not qualify for miniature horse
shows sponsored by the AMHA registry because AMHA imposes a height limit
of 34 inches. All Miniature horse shows
have their own
rules, conformation standards and size requirements ranging from 28
inches to 38 inches tall. Each miniature horse registry has
their own forms and costs.
